Ronald Black, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Black has over 20 years of experience managing businesses and running companies in global semiconductor and mobile markets. As president and CEO, Dr. Ronald Black provides the overall vision and leadership necessary to drive future growth for the Company. Prior to Rambus, Dr. Black held positions of chief executive officer for MobiWire, formerly Sagem Wireless, UPEK, which later merged with AuthenTec, and Wavecom, a publicly-traded French wireless solutions company. In addition, Dr. Black has served as executive vice president of the Client Systems Group at Agere Systems as well as holding a number of senior executive roles at other companies, including Motorola and IBM Microelectronics. Dr. Black holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Cornell University.
Kevin Donnelly, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Memory and Interfaces
Kevin Donnelly, senior vice president and general manager of the Memory and Interface Division, , leads the development of the Company's DRAM and high-speed link technology. Prior to this position, Mr. Donnelly served as the senior vice president of both IP Strategy and Engineering, where he led business strategy and future technology development for the Company. Earlier, Mr. Donnelly served as vice-president, Logic Interface Division, where he led the development and deployment of logic interface products. Before joining Rambus, Mr. Donnelly held engineering positions at National Semiconductor, Sipex and Memorex. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and a master's degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University. Mr. Donnelly holds numerous patents in the area of high-speed clocking and I/O circuits.
Jae Kim, Senior Vice President and General Counsel
Jae Kim is the senior vice president and general counsel of Rambus. Mr. Kim joined Rambus in July 2010, having served as vice president and corporate counsel, responsible for a broad range of corporate legal matters. Prior to his tenure at Rambus, Mr. Kim held senior legal positions with both private and public companies, where his scope of responsibilities included compliance, intellectual property, commercial transactions, and litigation. Mr. Kim has also had significant experience in private practice with the law firm of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he advised high technology and emerging growth companies on mergers and acquisitions, private financings, public offerings, securities compliance, public company reporting and corporate governance. Mr. Kim began his legal career as an attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Corporation Finance, in Washington, DC. Mr. Kim is a member of both the California State Bar and New York State Bar, and received a JD from the from the American University, Washington College of Law, and his bachelor's degree from Boston University.
Paul Kocher, President and Chief Scientist, Cryptography Research Division
Paul Kocher, senior vice president and president of the Cryptography Research division of Rambus, has gained an international reputation for his research and innovative designs in cryptography. His accomplishments include discovering timing attacks and differential power analysis (including techniques for preventing against these vulnerabilities), helping author the widely used SSL 3.0 standard, and leading the design of the record breaking DES Key Search machine. He has recently focused on developing anti-piracy technologies for securing digital content. Paul was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2009. Prior to founding Cryptography Research, Paul held positions at RSA Security and was a founding member of Valicert, Inc. (now Tumbleweed). He holds a bachelor of science degree from Stanford University.
Jerome Nadel, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Jerome Nadel, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Rambus, is responsible for leading the overall business development and marketing functions. Mr. Nadel is a leading expert on strategic usability and user experience with extensive international business strategy and marketing experience. Jerome joined Rambus from Option NV, where he served as chief experience officer leading the user experience process from research and innovation to implementation, marketing, and sales. Prior to Option NV, Jerome held the position of executive vice president of user experience and marketing at MobiWire, chief experience officer at Human Factors International, marketing VP at Gemplus and CMO at SLP InfoWare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational and Human Factors Psychology from Kansas State University.
Jeffery Parker, President, Lighting and Display Technology
Jeffery Parker, senior vice president and president of the Lighting and Display Technology Division, leads the Company's lighting and display business. Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Parker was co-founder and CEO of Global Lighting Technologies. He also helped start Lumitex, a company primarily developing LCD backlighting and medical illuminators for phototherapy. Mr. Parker has over 25 years experience in technology and product development for the information display, LED, medical and lighting markets. He is the key inventor of MicroLens® technology and has been granted over 100 patents covering inventions in LCD backlighting, fiber optics, LEDs, light management films, general lighting, medical and other optoelectronics applications. Mr. Parker graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
Satish Rishi, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Satish Rishi as senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer is responsible for the overall financial direction of the Company. Prior to joining Rambus, he held the position of executive vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Toppan Photomasks, one of the world's leading photomask providers. During his 20-year career, Mr. Rishi has held senior financial management positions at semiconductor and electronic manufacturing companies. He served as vice president and assistant treasurer at Dell. Prior to Dell, Mr. Rishi spent 13 years at Intel, where he held financial management positions both in the U.S. and overseas. Mr. Rishi holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Delhi University, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
Michael Schroeder, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities
Michael Schroeder as senior vice president of Human Resources and Facilities is responsible for maintaining the open and collaborative culture at Rambus as well as leading the Company's efforts to implement compensation practices that align individual objectives with corporate goals. Prior to Rambus, Mr. Schroeder served as vice president of Human Resources for Digital Think and prior to that held various positions at Synopsys, most recently as vice president, Human Resources for Business Group Operations. He has also held human resources positions at Alphabox Corporation and Apple Computer. Mr. Schroeder attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee as a Russian language major.
Martin Scott, Ph.D., Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Martin Scott, chief technology officer, leads the Company's platform development efforts, responsible for long-range research and development. Dr. Scott joined Rambus from PMC-Sierra where he was most recently vice president and general manager of its Microprocessor Division. Previously, Dr. Scott was vice president and general manager for I/O Solutions at Agilent Technologies. Dr. Scott started his professional career at HP Labs before holding various management positions at HP including ASIC Business Unit manager. He earned his bachelor's degree at Rice University and both a master's degree and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
Laura Stark, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions
Laura Stark leads the Company's efforts of diversification as senior vice president of Corporate Strategy. Originally joining Rambus in 1996 as strategic accounts manager, Ms. Stark has held positions of vice president, Alliances and Infrastructure, vice president, Memory Interface Division, and senior vice president, Platform Solutions Group. Prior to joining Rambus, she held various positions in the Semiconductor Products Division of Motorola during a six-year tenure, including technical sales engineer for the Apple sales team, and field applications engineer for the Sun and SGI sales teams. Ms. Stark earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
