Dateiname: Meeting the Challenges for Next-Generation Mobile and Graphics Memory Presentation Slides and Audio

Next-gen mobile and graphics systems share the need for higher-performance power-efficient memories to deliver compelling consumer experiences. With complexity rising dramatically as data rates increase, managing signal and power integrity, component and board costs, and delivering multi-modal functionality all become first-order priorities. Drs. Judy Chen and Steve Woo will discuss how Rambus innovations and solutions can address the challenges for next-generation memory solutions tailored for mobile and graphics applications.

Presenters: Dr. Judy Chen, Strategic Marketing Director & Dr. Steve Woo, Technical Director
Judy Chen received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Chen has held engineering management roles as well as product and strategic marketing positions at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Big Bear Networks, and Intel. Her experience has been focused on both the telecommunication and semicondutor markets. Dr. Chen’s marketing focus is roadmap and technology planning for all Rambus mobile initiatives.

Steven Woo is a Technical Director in the Strategic Development Group at Rambus Inc., one of the world's premier technology licensing companies specializing in the invention and design of high-speed chip interfaces. Since joining Rambus in 1996, Steve has also worked in the memory architecture group and the memory product planning and marketing group. Steve's current responsibilities include product planning and strategic development for the gaming and graphics markets.

Steve received BS Engineering (1986) and Master of Engineering (1988) degrees from Harvey Mudd College, and MS (1991) and PhD (1996) degrees in Electrical Engineering while working in the Computer Systems Laboratory at Stanford University.
