Dateiname: Analysis of Supply Noise Induced Jitter in Gigabit I/O Interfaces
Supply noise-induced jitter limits the performance of giabit I/O systems. Analyzing this jitter component requires the analysis of two parameters. First, we have to analyze the spectral contents of supply noise generated in the system. Second, the sensitivity of the interface circuits to supply noise at different frequencies has to be determined. We are presenting measurement and simulation results from a serial link operating at 6.25Gbps, analyzing the spectral content of the supply noise and noise sensitivitiy of the interface circits over frequency. By combining this infiormation, we can predict wors-case supply induced jitter and guide the decision optimization.
