Benefits Summary
Rambus benefits are an important part of your total compensation and work experience. A full suite of health and wellness plans, retirement accumulation programs, voluntary benefits (with a generous company contribution), and bonus and incentive programs are offered. Employees are covered under the Rambus programs on their first day of employment.

Medical: Blue Shield PPO
Rambus offers medical benefits to U.S. employees under the Blue Shield of California PPO plan. Go to any licensed provider that is deemed in-network for little to no out of pocket expenses. You can also go to a provider outside the network after the fulfillment of an annual deductible and co-payments. The plan also offers prescription drug coverage with mail order benefits allowing you to save on your monthly prescriptions.
Dental: Delta Dental
Delta Dental offers a comprehensive PPO plan to Rambus employees. There are low co-payments and a high plan maximum to ensure the dental needs of you and your family are covered. The plan includes orthodontia benefits for both adults and children.
Vision: Vision Service Plan (VSP)
With vision care under the plan with VSP, Rambus employee enjoys annual exams and periodic lenses and frames.
EAP: Employee Assistance Plan
Rambus provides employees with a program to meet the needs of today’s working person. Family counseling and referral services, along with tools and resources are available.
Coverage and Cost of Plans
Rambus employees are eligible to enroll their dependent family members including their spouse, domestic partner, and children in the Rambus plans. Children are covered up to age 26.
Rambus is proud to offer a competitive benefits package. Employees share in the cost of some programs with a nominal payroll contribution and Rambus covers the entire cost for other programs.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Rambus offers a generous life insurance benefit to help provide for the financial well-being of your survivors. Cover is 4 times base salary to $1,000,000. AD&D also provides a 4-times-base salary benefit up to $1,000,000. Employees may be eligible to purchase additional coverage through a supplemental life insurance plan.
Disability Insurance
Income replacement assistance is available to Rambus employees through short and long-term disability. Under the short-term plan, employees receive an income replacement benefit up to 12 weeks. Following short-term disability, long-term benefits will supplement a percentage of your income up to a monthly plan maximum.
Fitness/Wellness
Rambus is committed to providing employees with the resources to stay healthy and fit. Onsite fitness center, gym reimbursement and healthy snacks are available to employees.

Flexible Spending
Under the flexible spending programs, Rambus employees can set aside pre-tax dollars from their pay towards qualified medical and/or dependent day care needs. These programs provide a tax savings allowing employees to get more out of their paycheck! The medical savings plan provides the convenience of a Visa debit card.
Rambus 401(k) Plan
Planning for the future and retirement is an important part of your total benefits. With the Rambus 401(k) program, employees may contribute up to 60% of salary (to IRS plan limits). Rambus will match employee contributions to plan limits – and all contributions are 100% vested immediately! The plan also offers employees age 50 and over the option to make an additional, matched deferral. Furthermore, our platform with Fidelity Investments offers a wide variety of fund options and tools to ensure employees can invest in the manner to best meet their style and needs.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Rambus employees can share in the ownership of the company through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employee’s payroll dollars can be used to purchase stock in the company at a discount to the fair market value.
Commuter Benefits
Rambus offers a commuter benefits program that allows employees to purchase transit passes or pay for parking with pre-tax dollars up to IRS limits.
Rambus Rest & Relaxation (RRR)
Rambus employees enjoy time away under the following programs:
- Holidays: Twelve, including a company shut-down between Christmas and New Year's Day!
- Vacation: Starting with three weeks, and increasing over time.
- Sabbatical: Rambus employees are eligible after six years of employment.
