Erik Wellen, General Manager at Bell ID Middle East, comments: “Bell ID has been a long supporter of the Middle East and has had an active presence in the region for nearly a decade. During this time we have successfully implemented various EMV issuance and ID card deployments, working with the King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals, SABB (part of HSBC), Samba Financial Group and Government of the State of Qatar for example. Today, the region is thriving with activity and we are delighted to have an established presence and exceptional partners that we can work with to deliver new smart token implementations including near-field communication technology and advanced national identity programs. Bell ID recognizes the vibrancy of this market and is committed to working with its valued partners to support the evolving needs of our customers.”
During Cards Middle East, Bell ID will also be demonstrating its latest EMV token management solution, Bell ID® EMV Token Manager: the next generation web based solution for the management of EMV tokens such as contact and contactless cards as well as the management of (EMV) applications on NFC-enabled mobile phones. The solution is targeted at banks, telcos and other Chip and PIN card issuers that wish to migrate to EMV or expand on the functionality that EMV tokens have to offer.
