With over 25 years commercial experience David Orme will focus on organic growth through business development, sales and marketing.
Pat Curran, Chairman of Bell ID said “I am delighted to welcome David to the Bell ID team. 2007 has been an immensely successful year for Bell ID and I am confident that David will grow the business from strength to strength.” David graduated from Leeds University with a business degree in 1985, before starting his career with Thorn EMI and its electronic security subsidiary. In 1992, David joined Bell Security Limited and together with the founders successfully took the company through IPO with a full listing on the UK Stock Exchange in 1999 – the listed entity being Bell Group plc. David’s principle role was as Chief Operating Officer for the UK & Ireland; however, he was also responsible for some of the overseas expansion and spent a yearlong secondment in the US in 2003/4.
Following Bell Group’s acquisition by Securitas, David joined Quadnetics Group plc in July 2005, a successful AIM listed software and services company. He undertook the integration of the similarly sized Protec plc which was acquired by Quadnetics in late 2005.
David, who joined Bell ID in November this year, said, “I am pleased to be joining a successful team and hope to leverage the company’s great product and service reputation on a global basis”.
