RSL Joins Rambus Ecebs RTD Enablers Programme
– Deal will deliver new smart ticketing capabilities –
Rambus Ecebs, the UK’s leading provider of smart ticketing software, and Region Services Limited (RSL), a leading supplier of interactive passenger transport information systems, today announced a partnership to deliver ITSO based smart ticketing via its extensive network of ticketing devices and kiosks.
The move will increase the reach of smart ticketing across the UK’s transport network as RSL will integrate Ecebs’ technology into a number of key products.
The company has integrated with Rambus Ecebs ITSO Part 11 remote post software, branded Paragon RTD (Remote Ticket Download). This will allow RSL’s local authority and transport operator customers to access RSL’s smart ticketing capabilities via existing information and passenger systems to offer ITSO-compliant ticketing to travellers. RSL has provided in excess of 20,000 interactive terminals, broadcast screens and ticketing machines to transport bodies and local authorities around the country.

RSL can now deliver smart ticket products using Rambus Ecebs Paragon software for any ITSO scheme, essentially building an ITSO ticket delivery network across the country. With both companies’ already serving bus, train and ferry services, travellers will have easier access to their smart travel tickets.
