Facility to extend research in security and system-on-chip integration technologies
SUNNYVALE, CA and PARIS, France – November 18, 2013 – Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS) the innovative technology solutions company that brings invention to market, today announced it has opened a research center in Paris, France. The European extension of Rambus Labs will address complex security requirements and extend research for IP core integration across a variety of Rambus innovative initiatives.

Rambus Fellow Craig Hampel, combining his applied research and innovation in system architectures with his expertise in IP core integration and security, will initially lead the Paris research center. With a strong background in hardware-based security through the technologies developed by Cryptography Research, Inc., the research center will develop comprehensive solutions including software, cores, interfaces and tools that facilitate the integration of security hardware into sophisticated SoCs.
Finally, the center provides an opportunity for Rambus to expand connections with existing industry leaders, university and academic research facilities in the area.
