Volunteers join Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) to assist local community
LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES – 04/21/2010 – On Saturday, April 24, 2010, thousands of volunteers from local service organizations and corporations will join forces to rehabilitate homes and community facilities around the Bay Area as part of Rebuilding Together Peninsula’s National Rebuilding Day. To support the country’s economic rebuilding process, volunteers extend their generosity to assist low-income families and nonprofit facilities to repair and restore their properties.
For the ninth consecutive year, volunteers from Rambus will join Rebuilding Together Peninsula (RTP) to donate their time, energy and talents to help the local community. Striving for better quality of life for less fortunate families in the San Francisco peninsula, Rambus employees will assist in a revitalizing a house with landscaping, painting, and carpentry projects.
“Our organization’s goal is to help neighbors in need to live in safety, warmth, and independence while also providing a positive volunteer experience for local partners,” said Seana O’Shaughnessy, executive director of Rebuilding Together Peninsula. “Contributions from companies like Rambus, a long-term supporter of our projects, give us the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many families. In 2010, we are working on 54 homes and 26 community facilities, the most in our 21-year history.”
Rambus volunteers, along with Rebuilding Together Peninsula and community leaders will support the National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 24 at 8:00am, on the project site located at 770 2nd Avenue Redwood City, CA. Photos and interview opportunities are available throughout the day.
