Bell ID today announced the appointment of Erik Wellen as General Manager Middle East. In his new role, Mr. Wellen will be responsible for the management of sales in the Middle East.
Consequently, he will be the main contact person for Bell ID’s current and future clients and partnerships. The new appointment is part of Bell ID’s strategy to gain a solid base in this region.

We relish the chance to grow our business especially where we have a number of existing strategic customers. Additionally, Erik can showcase our new solutions in EMV migration, key management, PIN change, national ID, e-health, education and mobile directly to the end user as well as supporting our growing partner network.”
Mr. Wellen has previously worked as Project Manager for different card management implementations in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for several years, truly enjoying the people and culture within this region. Furthermore he gained technical expertise through his role as Product Manager. His latest responsibility has been with Professional Services, where he has lead four divisions for the past five years: Project Deliveries, Testing, Training & Documentation and Consulting. Mr. Wellen holds an MSc degree in Law from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam and an MBA (OneMBA) from Rotterdam School of Management.
Erik will be present at Cards Middle East in Dubai, May 18 – 20, 2009, where he will be available to discuss the solutions Bell ID provides in the field of card, application and key management.
