Nottingham City Council has awarded Rambus Ecebs, the UK’s leading smart transport technology company, a two year contract extension to provide ITSO services.
Effective from April 2013, the deal marks the continuation of a three year contract first awarded in 2010.
Rambus Ecebs provides a number of ITSO accredited products to customers across the UK and this contract extension will see the council continue to use the Ecebs back office system (known as the Paragon HOPS) until 2015.
The system is hosted within Rambus Ecebs tier 2 data centre which provides a secure, best value hosting option for the council whilst ensuring all public and staff card holders can be confident in the continued smooth running of their service.
Russell McCullagh, Managing Director at Rambus Ecebs said: “This extension demonstrates Nottingham City Council’s confidence in using Ecebs’ solutions for their smart transport needs. The high level of customer service provided by Rambus Ecebs has also contributed to their commitment to using our technology.”
James Bloor, Team Leader Public Transport Projects at Nottingham City Council commented: “Nottingham City Council is delighted with the work Rambus Ecebs has done in delivering a reliable and robust smart ticketing system. We are also now using the Rambus Ecebs Card Management system to issue smart cards and look forward to delivering additional smart services for our citizens with Rambus Ecebs as our smart technology partner.”
