Rambus Ecebs Showcases Award Nominated Technology at Transport Ticketing Event
Rambus Ecebs will be demonstrating its card and software innovations to industry experts at the Transport Ticketing Exhibition & Conference on 27-29th January. The exhibition, Europe’s largest ticketing and passenger information event, will be held in the Business Design Centre, London with Ecebs located on stand 26.
Rambus Ecebs has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Ticketing Technology of the Year’ award for its Pearl & Diamond smart cards, which are being used by SPT as their Glasgow Subway smart card.
The cards show how transport and payment can exist side by side, on one card, to the benefit of the travelling public. They are fully compliant with the UK interoperable open standard known as ITSO, and are intended to serve not only Glasgows’ Subway passengers, but are truly multi-modal enabling smarter travel on rail, bus, ferry and underground. Rambus Ecebs cards provide EMV compatable payment, allowing transport operators to launch not only travel products, but also a recognised payment platform, without re-issuing cards.
Russell McCullagh, Managing Director of Rambus Ecebs said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award. Not only is this a huge pat on the back for everyone at Rambus Ecebs, but it demonstrates our expertise and position within the industry. By exhibiting at the event, operators will have an opportunity to learn more about our services, understand our expertise in smart customer media and how these can transform their operations.”
Rambus Ecebs has been shortlisted alongside other notable international organisations, which reflect both the competition for the award and the level of flexibility the Pearl & Diamond cards provide.
Rambus Ecebs full suite of Paragon transport products are currently deployed across the UK, this includes the latest upgrade of the Paragon remote post software, which has been integrated into a variety of platforms including, kiosks, terminals, NFC tablets and mobile devices. Full demonstrations will be available at the event including Rambus Ecebs wide range of complementary ‘Apps‘.
