Eliott Jones has spent the vast majority of his career focused on building interactive user experiences (UX) that tastefully combine aesthetics with utility, ease of use and efficiency. Jones, who recently joined Rambus as an expert in user experience design, says the concept of a streamlined and versatile UX is absolutely critical in the evolving semiconductor space.
Rambus CMO Jerome Nadel – who arrived two years ago – immediately embarked on a set of initiatives to formalize a user experience and design thinking skill set within Rambus.
“The addition of Eliott, an industry-leading user experience expert, will amplify and improve our design methods and product interfaces,” said Nadel.
As such, Jones will be positioned at the forefront of Rambus’ semiconductor design process to help make the user experience a core component of product visioning, planning and execution. Indeed, an intuitive, empathetic and human-centric UI ultimately becomes an essential part of a product’s competitive advantage.
According to Eliott, this new wave of rich UX experiences, where interacting with technology is more fluid and integrated into existing behaviors and activities, is already in motion across the Internet of Things (IoT).
“Rambus is intent on exploring and implementing new ways of designing technology interaction on a human scale, while making user experience a strategic differentiator in a space that hasn’t traditionally emphasized UX. This approach is an integral element of the company’s overall product development process and I can’t wait to take our product experience to levels previously thought impossible,” Jones concluded.
