From Good to Better… Bell ID Becomes Rambus

Bell ID has been creating empowering technical solutions for more than 23 years. Over that time, we’ve seen our technology advance from managing smart cards for identity to the current age of provisioning and securing mobile payments. But our desire and approach to exceed customers’ expectations has been the same since day one and that remains our top priority.

Our success has been built on our ability to help customers load and manage credentials and provide a smooth transition to next generation form factors; cards, smartphones and the cloud. Doing this quickly, smoothly and cost effectively has allowed us to work with some of the most prominent tech giants and banks around the world. But, as more devices are connected, our desire to support customers with more functionality and advanced security meant we could no longer rely on organic growth. We needed a change, and we turned to Rambus.

Rambus is a secure technology leader and as part of Rambus we have integrated complementary technology solutions, expanded our R&D capacity and broadened our reach. We continue to lead the way in mobile payments, making transactions smarter, safer and more seamless. Our agile spirit, flexibility and commitment remains, but we are now part of Rambus, adopting the mantra makers of better.

Underpinning everything we do, security is a key attribute of all of our solutions. Without this, trust is not possible. Without trust, products are worthless. In a competitive marketplace, device makers and service providers can connect as many devices as they like, but if end users do not recognize them as being secure and trustworthy, adoption will wane, along with revenues. As a leader in security, trust is central to everything Rambus does and it is already bringing great value to our customers.

So, from March 2017 we say goodbye to Bell ID as we become part of the Rambus Security Division. This is a new beginning, an exciting next chapter! As Rambus, we have a worldwide support network, extensive product development and R&D, advanced hardware security, and much, much more. But this is not about us, it’s about our customers. We can help you solve more problems, collaboratively develop innovative products and services and take on the demanding technology challenges of the future.
